Medics have warned that the world 'is not prepared' as two patients became the first worldwide to be infected with drug-resistant ringworm.
The chilling warning comes as as The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), confirmed the unnamed women in the United States, aged 28 and 47, have been struck down with tinea.
It's the first known cases of the highly contagious fungal disease, reports the Daily Mirror.
