Medicare beneficiaries who want lighter titanium or carbon-fiber manual wheelchairs may eventually stop having to pay the entire price upfront. A bill that would let them pay only the cost of the upgrade cleared the Senate late on Sept. 30 and now heads to President Donald Trump.
The Choices for Increased Mobility Act, H.R. 1703, passed the Senate by voice vote as one of the chamber's last acts before its midterm recess, according to Roll Call. The House approved it in July.
