Medical Aid Worker Killed In Israeli Military Operations In Gaza

Bodies of foreign WCK workers killed in an Israeli strike are transported to their families outside Gaza, in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip

A tragic incident occurred in southern Gaza on Thursday night as a medical aid worker lost his life during Israeli military operations. Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors Without Borders, confirmed the death of Hasan Suboh, a dedicated 41-year-old worker who leaves behind his wife and seven children. Suboh had been a part of MSF since 2019.

This unfortunate event marks the eighth colleague from MSF to be killed in Gaza since October 7, 2023, and the second in just two weeks. The organization expressed deep sorrow over the loss and emphasized the need for an immediate halt to violence against civilians in Gaza.

Gaza's health ministry reported that recent Israeli airstrikes have resulted in over 33 civilian deaths, including 14 children, and numerous injuries, predominantly affecting women and children. The situation in the region remains dire, with ongoing combat operations by the Israeli military targeting Hamas in the southern Gaza Strip through air and ground assaults.

MSF strongly condemned the attack that claimed the life of Hasan Suboh and called for an end to the violence that continues to impact innocent civilians in Gaza. The organization's mission of providing medical assistance and aid to those in need has been severely affected by the escalating conflict in the region.
