Medha Patkar urges Naveen Patnaik to stop harassment of protesters in Dhinkia

BHUBANESWAR: Activist Medha Patkar on Monday urged Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik to immediately stop all ways and means of repression against protestors of a steel plant project from Dhinkia area in Jagatsinghpur district.

In a letter to Naveen, the founder member of Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) said the state government needs to withdraw police force, repeal false cases filed and free all those in jail with false accusations including Devendra Swain, Gitanjali Das and others.
