McLaren announce deal to buy Mercedes Formula E team ahead of entry into 2022-23 season

McLaren will enter the 2023-23 Formula E season after completing the acquisition of the Mercedes team.

The purchase comes on the eve of championship leader Stoffel Vandoorne defending his advantage atop the standings alongside teammate Nyck de Vries at this weekend’s Berlin ePrix.
