McDonald's UK has announced it is unveiling two brand-new, pink-themed desserts for Valentine's Day.
The limited-edition KitKat Ruby Chocolate McFlurry and a Raspberry White Chocolate pie will feature on the fast-food chain's Valentine's Day menu.
They will be available in all McDonald's UK branches from Wednesday, February 7 until Tuesday, March 12.
However, customers can pre-order the items by downloading the McDonald's app.
McDonald's is also bringing back some favourite items in February. The Big Tasty and the Big Tasty with bacon will be priced at £7.69 and £8.49 respectively. The Big Tasty features a beef patty, Emmental cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes and smoky sauce, sandwiched between two toasted buns.
Also returning in February are McDonald’s cheesy bites, the Mozzarella Dippers, costing £2.39 for a pack of three and £6.49 for a box to share. The Breakfast Wrap will also return from February 7 and will be served until 11am.
The news came after McDonald's recently launched its new chain CosMc’s, a coffee-shop-style restaurant, in the US. CosMc’s is inspired by a space alien character and is described as a “beverage-led concept".
McDonald’s chief executive, Chris Kempczinski, said the new chain launch was to help fill mid-afternoon sales slumps.
He told investors at a conference: “This is a $100 billion (£78bn) category that's growing faster than the rest of [casual dining] and with superior margins. And it's a space that we believe we have the right to win.”
In January, McDonald’s also launched its 10 days of deals to combat Blue Mondays.
Founded in 1940 by Richard and Maurice McDonald, McDonald's has grown to become one of the largest and most well-known fast-food brands worldwide.
It is recognised for its iconic golden arches logo and its signature menu items, including the Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, Chicken McNuggets, and the world-famous McDonald's french fries.
