Fast-food giant McDonald’s has launched a new peppercorn sauce burger and Liverpool Echo’s Emily Sleight was keen to try out the ‘Steakhouse Stack’.
Priced at a whopping £5.39 (with the meal £7.89) and described as “two 100 per cent beef patties, a slice of cheddar cheese, crispy onions, red onions and lettuce topped with a creamy peppercorn sauce, all in a freshly toasted bun”, did it hit the spot or leave our reviewer disappointed? “I wasn’t too sure what to expect with this burger, considering peppercorn sauce as a topping is pretty unique, but I had relatively high hopes,” she said. “I was a little worried the peppercorn sauce would be lumpy and thick, like what you get on a steak, but it wasn’t what I expected at all.
