The brand new McDonald’s menu went on sale yesterday - and it features four new exciting options to try - including much-anticipated halloumi fries.

The fast-food chain launched the halloumi fries as part of their new line-up, and it’s the first time you’ll be able to give them a taste in the United Kingdom.

McDonald’s has added the snack, along with two new burgers, to its menu, which comes as the brand has revealed that it’s hiking up its prices, with the much-loved classic cheeseburger increasing in price to £1.19 - its first price increase in 14 years.

Meanwhile, the new menu change also includes a summery drink, as well as a range of snacks that celebrate the cultures of Spain and Cyprus.

Here’s everything you need to know...

McDonald’s Taste of Spain and Cyprus menu

Yesterday, McDonald’s began serving the Taste of Spain and Cyprus menu, which will run until September 6.

It features two burgers: the Spicy Spanish Stack and the Chicken Fiesta.

The Spicy Spanish Stack has two beef patties on a paprika bun, topped with red onion, crunchy lettuce, chilli cheddar and a spicy tomato sauce. The Chicken Fiesta is similar but instead of two beef patties, it has a crispy chicken fillet. Both burgers cost £5.39.

McDonald’s is also now serving halloumi fries, which are served as a side alongside the new burgers, and cost £2.49 for a single portion or £6.49 for a share box.

The halloumi fries are coated in a light batter, and served with a rich tomato dip.

McDonald’s is also launching a new drink - Spanish Fruit Punch.

You can grab a fresh cup of the berry and citrus punch for just £2.29. If you want a large, you can also nap one for £2.61.

Additionally, the summer menu includes Spanish Fruit Punch–a berry and citrus-flavoured soft drink (£2.29 for a medium or £2.61 for a large.)

Which menu items are being removed?

In June, the Taste of Italy menu brought a range of new burgers to show, including the Italian Stack and the Crispy Chicken Italiano.

But, unfortunately, the Taste of Italy burgers and sides have now come off the menu to make room for the new menu items. The items removed from the menu are:

  • The Italian Stack - £5.39
  • The Crispy Chicken Italiano - £5.39
  • Mozzarella Dippers - £1.99 single or £5.39 sharebox
  • The Tiramisu McFlurry - £1.19 mini or £1.69 regular
