A McDonald’s superfan has visited many of the chain’s restaurants around the world - despite not liking beef.
Natasha Whitley, 27, has visited 45 countries in six months, stopping at 15 different restaurants in places including Australia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Nicaragua and New Zealand.
The hospital pharmacist turned travel content creator has taken an eight month sabbatical from her job for the trip.
And despite not liking beef, she has made sure to visit her favourite chain while abroad for her go-to meal - chicken McNuggets with a Coke Zero.
Natasha, from London, said: “I knew when I started this round the world trip that I wanted to visit all the different McDonald's.
“I love checking out the different menus all over the world and seeing what cool and exciting items they offer.
“Ever since I was young, it was always a special treat as a kid to go to McDonald's and get a Happy Meal. Then, as I got older, my love for chicken nuggets grew - it became a known thing between me and my friends.
"McDonald's is definitely my go to meal every time I'm drunk after a night out or hungover the next day - it's my favourite comfort food.
"During my time at university in Nottingham, I had the opportunity to study abroad at their sister campus in Malaysia, so I spent one semester there when I was 20.
"I had the best time of my life - Malaysia is one of my favourite ever countries. I then travelled through South East Asia and Australia after this semester so I was away from home for six months in total.
"After university, I took a six-week trip to South America visiting Peru, Bolivia and Brazil, but I always dreamt of returning.
"So I saved up for a few years during my full time job and took an eight and a half month sabbatical, which I'm currently on and doing a round the world trip.
"I don't eat beef, so I just check if they have any exciting chicken options.”
She added she always checks for interesting sides on offer.
Nicaragua had cheese cubes, coleslaw and toasties while others allow people to order potato wedges.
She added: “Some McDonald's, for example in France, also sell alcohol so you can have a beer with your meal. I can't imagine the UK one ever selling alcohol - it would be chaotic.
"The 'McArabia' in Dubai was an Arabic pitta style burger. It was so good and nothing like I've seen before at McDonald's.
“I'm going to Asia later this year and can't wait to try their McDonald's as I've seen you get lots of unusual items like McSpaghetti.
"My favourite McDonald's location I visited was definitely the one in Taupo, New Zealand, which was actually voted 'the coolest McDonald's in the world' as it's set inside a plane.”
