McDonald's fans are divided after spotting the launch of its new menu - and the axing of several beloved items.
The fast food giant recently confirmed the return of its first permanent chicken burger in 15 years, and has since announced the addition of four further products to its menu. Fans were divided though after discovering that in order to make way for the new arrivals, six menu items are being axed.
From Wednesday, October 19, McDonald's will welcome Potato Waffles, the Twirl McFlurry and the BBQ Bacon Stack, with Nacho Cheese Wedges joining the line-up from October 26. The much anticipated new items will replace the Chicken Legend, the Big Tasty, Spicy McNuggets, Mozzarella Dippers, Twix and Mars McFlurry.

The news has been met with a mixed response, with some fans excited to sample the new menu and others despondent to see their favourites removed. On the Liverpool Echo Facebook page, more than 100 fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts.
Helen Chenery tagged a friend and said: "the waffles could be a game changer the new McFlurry is just something else for Runcorn to not sell". Pearl Kelly said: "twirl mcflurry, oooohh".
Kylie McKay said: "Nacho Cheese are the best sides of Maccies to a T can't wait". But Sian Gilmo commented: "Genuinely outraged! that's my whole order being withdrawn from the menu. Fuming is an understatement".
Megan McArdle said: "Last time they took the chicken legend meal off people complained so they brought it back and now they're doing it again I don't js mcdonalds alot but the waffles and wedges and twirl mcflurry sound lovely". Richie Searrio said: "Leave the big tasty alone, its the best thing on the menu when it comes out".
Jenn Gee said: "I'm distraught they're taking away the mozzy dippers". Emily Louise Murphy added: "The stuff they're removing was rubbish anyway out with the old in with the new".
