Depending on which McDonald's branch you visit, you might have seen the stations where you pick up a small paper pot and can fill it with either Ketchup or BBQ sauce from two dispensers that sit on the counters. And while the small pots seem like a good idea, they do have their drawbacks - as they're only big enough for chips, and are nowhere near wide enough to fit a chicken nugget.
But it turns out that you actually can use the pots for your nuggets if you make proper use of all their functions. According to Francesca Sandiford, you can make the sauce pots bigger by altering the top to make it wider, allowing you to dip any of your food to your heart's content.

In a video on YouTube, Francesca said: "The magic Ketchup pot," as she pulled at the top of the paper and opened up the pleats that run around the sides of the container, making the pot open up into a flat disk.
She titled the clip: "How to use McDonald's sauce pots."
And not only will the clever trick allow you to dip your nuggets with ease, but it'll also stop you from having sauce at the bottom of the pot that you just can't get to - as the spread-out paper makes it easier to scoop up every last drop.
The hack doesn't just work in McDonald's either, as another burger chain, Five Guys, also uses similar pots that can be altered in the same way, meaning the trick is useful in more restaurants than one.
Meanwhile, one McDonald's employee in the US recently claimed you "shouldn't bother" ordering a large portion of fries - as they claimed it's actually the same size as a regular.
The employee, who posts on TikTok under the username @nnennaaaaa6, shared a video from a recent shift at the fast-food chain in which they served up a large portion of fries in the signature McDonald's box - but admitted they purposefully pinched the bottom of the box so that fewer fries would fit in.
They wrote on the clip: "How we make our large fries - we don't open the cardboard all the way. Saves us more fries for other customers."
