McDonald's customers spark outrage by letting dog sit on table in restaurant

Two McDonald's fans have sparked outrage after letting their dog sit on a table inside a restaurant - as fans weren't McLoving it.

The small dog was seated on top of a table, where customers normally eat their food, in a post shared online.

Circulated on Reddit, the photo appeared to be taken in Melbourne, and disgusted customers across the world.

One unimpressed viewer, who condemned the dog's owners, wrote: "Who doesn't love some dirty dog anus on their Maccas table?"

In response, many more commenters expressed their disgust.

"People are gross and don't care about anything other than themselves," read one such reply.

Someone else said: "Yeah it's not fine dining doesn't mean your disgusting dog can sit on the table."

Another commented: "Yuck," and someone wrote: "That's gross. I love my dogs but their a** ain't coming inside let alone sitting on a table."

However, other social media users appeared to defend the owners. "That's why you eat off the tray, not the table," said one.

A second put: "Who eats their food directly off the table, always eat off the bag."

A third agreed: "Unless you're planning on licking the table, I'm not sure why this would bother you."

"If you hate it so much, see something, say something," replied someone else.

Back in the UK, McDonald's has been hitting the news for a different reason as delighted fans are getting their first taste of the new Steakhouse Stack.

Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the spot when Mirror writer Danni Scott and lifestyle editor, Courtney Pochin took a taste.

Danni wrote: "For myself and Courtney, it's just a little lacklustre and other than the peppercorn sauce lacks any real distinction from a regular double cheese burger.

'It's a nice bit of novelty for a McDonald's fan, but for me nothing is going to live up to the lasagne burger from last summer. Can we bring that back instead?' she asked.

"Despite our apprehension, some of our colleagues disagreed as the Mirror's assistant features editor, Kyle O'Sullivan said: 'Usually McDonald's burgers with two patties are incredibly dry, but with the creamy peppercorn sauce oozing everywhere it was perfect.

"If I'd had closed my eyes then I could have been eating an actual steak and it was nice to get a burger that actually fills you up.

"The only negative would be the massive lumps of red onion - they just needed a bit more chopping up.'"
