Customers brawled in a McDonald's restaurant after a verbal war of words broke out.
The fracas broke out on a Friday night prompting police to be called as tensions in the eatery increased.
A person inside filmed footage of the physical fight which has since gone viral on social media platforms.
It broke out in the fast-food restaurant in Taunton, Somerset at around 7.50pm on September 9.
SomersetLive reported that the video clip shows the pair getting into a verbal spat before tensions boiled over.
It resulted in one of the men throwing a punch and knocking the other to the floor.
Witnesses were shocked by the incident and kept their distance from the row between the pair.
Footage was uploaded to Twitter, where it has been retweeted and liked thousands of times since Saturday.
No arrests have been made since the altercation and the report to police came from a third person who witnessed the violent behaviour.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “Police received a third-party report about an altercation between two men at a premises in East Street, Taunton, at about 7.50pm on Friday, September 9.
“We're aware of footage of the incident on social media. Neither of the involved parties were present when officers attended a few minutes later and neither have come forward since.
“The incident has been recorded according to Home Office crime recording rules and filed pending contact from the individuals involved."

A spokesperson for McDonald's said: "The safety and security of our people and our customers is our absolute priority, and it is extremely disappointing and unacceptable to see customers behaving in this way.
