McDonald's bosses have confirmed that a popular feature will remain. Customers were told a great food deal was due to be scrapped at the end of last year.
But a spokesperson has announced that there is 'no end' date for the NHS staff's 20% discount. The fast food chain rolled out the deal in 2021 to thank workers in the emergency services. And it was feared the scheme would end at the end of this month.
The deal sees NHS, police, fire, social care sector and armed forces being handed 20% discount when purchasing food through the Mcdonald's app.

Steve Bater, spokesman at NHS Money Saving blog NHS Discount Offers, had announced the deal was ending. He said: "We've had a good run with this deal but its a real shame that the McDonalds discount is set to end on March 31 so time is really ticking for NHS staff to get their 20% off their favourite meals."
He added: "The McDonalds 20% discount has been one of the most popular food discounts for NHS staff to take advantage of in the last year or so and its been a great way for NHS staff to save on their McDonald's takeaways.
"The cost of living crisis continues and every little helps as we look to save money wherever we can. It's really appreciated that McDonalds have been helping NHS staff save. It's been a really kind gesture from the fast food giant and we appreciate them continuing to run the discount for staff until the end of this month."
However, bosses have now confirmed the discount will remain. A McDonald's spokesperson said: "There’s no end date."
Customers can also benefit from double points on all McDelivery orders via the McDonald’s app for certain dates this month.
