Fast food Goliaths McDonald's has revealed plans for the return of the widely-adored Big Tasty, which will be back with an exciting new flavour.
One of McDonald's most popular menu items, the classic staple will return to outlets across the United Kingdom, alongside a limited BBQ edition - The Mirror reports.
Made with 100 per cent British and Irish beef, topped with Emmental cheese, tomato, lettuce, slivered onions and lashed with signature Big Tasty sauce - the news of the big burger's comeback has no doubt captivated foodies across the nation.

As the name says – it’s big, it’s tasty and available for a limited amount of time from tomorrow (March 16).
The fast-food giant said the latest addition to the menu will also be accompanied by a few other favourites.
Alongside the Big Tasty range, the Homestyle Crispy Chicken burger will return, and the Chilli Cheese bites, Creme Egg McFlurry and Cadbury Caramel Mc Flurry.
The original will be priced at £4.89, while a version with bacon, or BBQ will be priced at £5.39.
The chilli cheese bites will be priced at £1.99, while the Homestyle Crispy Chicken burger will cost £4.39.
A brief history of the Big Tasty:
- 2002 - First developed by the European Food studio in Paris
- 2003 - First launched in the UK until 2006
- 2007 - Reintroduced due to public demand and has featured on the promotional calendar yearly ever since
- 2007-18 - Several attempts to create a Big Tasty range tried and failed, a real struggle to maintain that unique Big Tasty identity while adding in other flavours
- 2018 - Introduced the Big Chicken Tasty
- 2020 - The UK Chef Council ran a workshop on what the next Big Tasty would look like with BBQ being the first toe in the water, with others in the pipeline for the future
- 2022 - Introduction of the Big Tasty BBQ to the UK
