McDonald's Christmas menu has landed as three popular items to be cut within days

The festive season is almost upon us as decorations begin to appear in supermarkets, on streets, and within homes.

In line with the coming of Christmas, McDonald's has announced the return of its festive menu.

If you have been eagerly awaiting to see what the fast food chain has to offer this year, you're in luck, as the menu is launching sooner than you may think.

From Wednesday, November 23, some Christmas classics will return to McDonald's, from much-loved burgers to festive sides and pies and, of course, a new McFlurry addition.

Here's what to expect.

Burgers

The end of November will see the much-loved Big Tasty return to the menu - which is big news for fans of the mammoth burger.

Fans can expect a 100% beef patty, cheese made with Emmental cheese, onions, juicy tomatoes, and a unique smoky flavoured sauce, all nested in a freshly toasted bun. And it can be enjoyed with or without bacon.

Without bacon, the Big Tasty will cost around €6 on its own or around €10 as a meal. With bacon, it will be slightly more.

Chicken lovers will also be able to get their hands on a new permanent fixture, McCrispy, which contains 100% chicken breast fillet in a crispy, crunchy coating, served with iceberg lettuce, black pepper mayo, and a delicious sesame-topped bun.

Pies and sides

McDonald's is also re-releasing the Festive Pie, much to the relief of anyone with a sweet tooth.

It's a Christmassy take on the food chain's classic hot crispy pie, but instead of apple, it's filled with mincemeat and custard.

Cheese Melt Dippers are also back to tantalise your tastebuds - the four breaded camembert bites are served with a tangy tomato dip. And, of course, you can get a share box of 15. These will replace the Nacho Cheese Wedges - which may divide fans of the latter.

McFlurry

If you're in the mood for something sweet after your meal, you can get your hands on the Celebrations McFlurry, which features soft dairy ice cream, swirled with Maltesers clusters, Galaxy chocolate drops, caramel pieces, Mars chewy pieces, and Twix biscuits, topped with a milk chocolate sauce.

To make room for this lineup, McDonald's will be getting rid of the BBQ Bacon Stack, Nacho Cheese Wedges, and the Twirl McFlurry on Tuesday, November 22.
