If you were thinking of ordering yourself a McDonald's for your dinner tonight, you might want to think carefully about the burger you tuck into - as for some menu items, it will be one of the last times you're able to enjoy them.
The fast-food giant is making huge changes to its menu starting next week, but as new items are added, some fan favourites are being taken away, meaning you'll only have until October 19 to get your hands on the soon-to-be discontinued treats.
Unfortunately for fans of Maccies' chicken lovers, the menu change marks the end of the road for the Chicken Legend, which has served as a welcome change from the basic McChicken Sandwich for some time and is currently available with a variety of different sauces - including BBQ, Hot & Spicy Mayo, and Cool Mayo.
The burger was distinctive to fast-food lovers thanks to its toasted bakehouse roll, which will be ditched when the new items come in, as no other burger on the menu uses the unique bun.
And fans of the Chicken Legend aren't happy with the changes, as many of them took to social media to say they don't think removing the burger is a "good idea", especially for those who wanted something that appeared a little more sophisticated than your average cheeseburger.
One person wrote: "McDonald's, can you please tell me why you are getting rid of the Chicken Legends? For someone who doesn't like Big Macs and other beef burgers, I don't this is really a good idea. There was just something about the legend that made it lush."
While another said: "As if McDonald's are removing the Chicken Legends from their menu."
And a third fumed: "Why are Chicken Legends being removed? What the f**k?"
It's not all bad news for the chicken lovers among us though, as one of the new items coming in is the McCrispy, which will be the first chicken burger to be permanently added to the menu in 15 years.
The crunchy burger is made with 100% chicken breast fillet, which has been marinated in black pepper and cayenne. It's then topped with McDonald's classic mayonnaise with added cracked black pepper and a savoury roasted chicken flavour to give it a "fancy" and "umami" taste, according to the restaurant.
As we recently reported, other changes coming to the McDonald's menu include the removal of the Big Tasty burger, which was a temporary addition and is set to be replaced by the return of the BBQ Bacon Stack for a limited time.
Alongside the juicy burger, you'll also be able to pick up Nacho Cheese Wedges and a Twirl McFlurry, as well as mini potato waffles which are being added to the breakfast menu.
