A vegan has said he feels "let down" after his McPlant burger contained bacon.
Global burger chain McDonald’s has spent a great deal of time an money advertising their new vegan friendly burger but has admitted that what happened to this customer was "not acceptable". The 37-year-old customer f asked not to be named but said they attended the restaurant shortly after 11.30am on Wednesday April 13.
The vegan diner, said he was with a client, and after ordering via the firm's app, received the burgers and started to eat them. After finishing the first one and biting into the second a piece of bacon fell out. But he only realised what it was when he finished the McPlant and looked down in horror at the strip of bacon.
