McDonald's has been hit by a shortage of a staple ingredient, affecting items at branches nationwide.

At some branches, McDonald's has experienced a shortage of tomatoes. The shortages are affecting the Big Tasty and Big Tasty with Bacon, according to reports.

The Big Tasty and Big Tasty with bacon are being served with just one slice of tomato rather than two. The Big Tasty, which launched earlier this month, won't be around for long, with the burger available at participating restaurants for a limited time only or until stocks last, reports BirminghamLive.
