McDonald's announces return of popular menu item that will be 'spicier than before'

If you're a fan of McDonald's and all things spice, then you may want to head down to your local chain.

It comes as it has been announced that one of their popular menu items, which has been off the menu for two years, is set to make a return.

As reported by The Sun, the fast food giant will bring back its Spicy Chicken Nuggets with a "new and improved recipe" with the chain saying that they will also be "even spicier than before".

They will cost hungry customers £3.49 for six compared to their previous price of £3.06 when they were on the 2020 menu. But if you're hungrier then and want to tackle a little more than half a dozen, you can have the option of nine or 20 prices.

But it doesn't stop there with the newspaper also reporting that the Big Tasty, Mozzarella Dippers and the Mars and Twix McFlurry are all set to make a come back to the menu.

The return of the McNuggets comes as the fast food chain is set to see their iconic Monopoly return next month on September 7. And this year participants can double the game play with their new McDonald’s Monopoly Double Peel.

McDonald’s much-loved promotion was launched back in 2005 and works in a similar way to the classic Monopoly board game. Customers have the chance to win prizes by collecting game pieces from menu items such as fries, wraps, drinks and McFlurry’s.

By peeling off the game pieces from these selected items, customers can instantly win free food items and bigger prizes or collect property pieces of the same colour for a bigger prize via the McDonald’s app and online.
