MCD has apologised to fans after “prematurely” announcing Noel Gallagher’s Dublin gig.
Earlier this week, the music promoter announced Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will headline at Royal Hospital Kilmainham on August 27.
The UK star show will also see special guests Primal Scream and Happy Mondays perform at the Dublin venue.
Tickets were supposed to go on sale this Friday but MCD admitted their announcement was “over-enthusiasm” on their part.
“The recent announcement of Noel Gallagher’s 2023 outdoor concert at RHK Dublin was premature,” MCD wrote on their social media.
“This early announcement was due to over-enthusiasm on our behalf.”
The concert promoter said they hoped to be “in a position to update [the public] in due course”.
The tickets, which were said to be priced €49.90 including booking fees, will not go on sale this week.
