Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who has had a distant and icy relationship with former President Donald Trump, recently shared that he had a positive meeting with Trump. McConnell mentioned that he shook hands with Trump and found the encounter entirely positive. He stated, 'I can’t think of anything to tell you out of it that was negative.'
During the meeting, McConnell and Trump engaged in conversation and received numerous standing ovations. This interaction marked the first time the two had spoken since the election was certified in 2021.
