McCausland wondergoal is result of months of hard work on left foot says Clement

After Nedim Bajrami fired Rangers in front inside the first minute against Malmo in the Europa League, a Ross McCausland wondergoal doubled their lead.

That was enough to secure a clean sheet and three points for Philippe Clement's men on the night, after which the Rangers manager underlined the hard work the latter midfielder has put in to arrive at this moment.

Speaking to broadcaster TNT after the game, Clement said: It's important that we create, it's important that the players are focused to finish off in a good way, and we'll continue to help make our players more decisive.

"I think in that way Ross is a really good example with the second goal because a few months ago he didn't have power or any quality with his left foot to get his shots in.

"He's been working on that every day in training to improve it together with the staff. Because of that, he's scored this very, very important goal to make it 2-0."
