Todd Boehly could arm Graham Potter with one of Chelsea's greatest attacks if the club can welcome Kylian Mbappe to Stamford Bridge in January. The 23-year-old has suddenly become heavily linked with an exit from Paris Saint-Germain as the striker reportedly eyes a move away from Les Parc des Princes in the coming months.
According to Marca, Mbappe wants to leave the French giants in the upcoming transfer window. And, despite having looked destined to join Real Madrid in the summer, the report states that he has no interest in joining Los Blancos.
While the Blues haven't been credited with interest, the club have come close to signing the France international before. Ten years ago, Mbappe and his family were brought to England where he spent a week at Cobham training ground with the Chelsea under-12s.

At which time, the likes of Tammy Abraham and Jeremie Boga walked the corridors. A move ultimately fell through and the west Londoners lost sight of a player who would go on to become one of the world's best.
Now, with Mbappe supposedly on the market, could it be a case of second time lucky for Chelsea? With that being said, football.london has taken a look at how Potter's starting XI could look in a 3-4-3 if Boehly can sign Mbappe as part of a dream summer transfer window sweep.
Goalkeeper: Edouard Mendy
Kepa Arrizabalaga has been entrusted between the sticks in recent weeks by Potter, but Edouard Mendy's quality can not be overlooked. The Senegal international, who sees his current deal at Chelsea expire in 2025, is set for a bright future at Stamford Bridge if his credentials are anything to go by.
Defence: Ben Chilwell, Josko Gvardiol, Thiago Silva, Wesley Fofana, Reece James
Josko Gvardiol was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in the summer, but a switch failed to materialise after penning a new five-year deal with RB Leipzig. A release clause was included in the 20-year-old's contract, which is thought to be around £43.6million, according to The Telegraph.
And it's said that the Blues are interested in finally wrapping up a move for the Croatia international, who is considered one of Europe's most exciting young players. Gvardiol is a left-footed, versatile defender who has earned a reputation for exceptional composure and ability to progress the ball through the thirds from deep - the epitome of an all-encompassing modern centre-back.
Midfield: Mateo Kovacic, Declan Rice
According to The Telegraph, Declan Rice is still a target for Chelsea as the club look to further strengthen their midfield. The West Ham captain, who is worth £70million by CIES Football Observatory but is likely to go for a lot more, has been heavily linked with a return to Cobham for some time now, having been released from the academy as a teenager.
Attack: Raheem Sterling, Kylian Mbappe, Rafael Leao
Mbappe has suddenly become the most coveted player in the world ahead of the January transfer window. The £175million-rated striker would complete a deadly front-three alongside summer signing Raheem Sterling and target Rafael Leao.
Potter's style of play flourishes on directness and, with Mbappe potentially in the Chelsea side, the west Londoners would truly have a force to be reckoned with. However, a deal could be difficult to complete - but Boehly can dream, eh...
