The Mayor of Kingstown is back in action, as Mayor of Kingstown season 3 brings back the Taylor Sheridan-produced, Jeremy Renner-led crime drama to Paramount Plus.
After Mayor of Kingstown season 2 ended in March 2023, the future of the show was up in the air, in no small part because of the serious injuries that Renner suffered on New Year's Day 2023. But, as reports indicate, the plan had always been to renew the series and with Renner making his return to acting, the series is officially on the horizon.

Mayor of Kingstown season 3 episode 10 premieres on Paramount Plus Sunday, August 4, for North American subscribers. For those in the UK and elsewhere, the latest episode drops on the streamer on Monday, August 5.
To watch Mayor of Kingstown, both the new season and the first two, you're going to need a Paramount Plus subscription (any will do, as the show is a Paramount Plus original).
Mayor of Kingstown season 3 plot
A quick catch up on how Mayor of Kingstown season 2 ended before providing some info on what is to come in season. Note, some spoilers ahead.
Season 2 dealt with the aftermath of the prison riot that concluded season 1, with a big emphasis on the rivalry between Milo and Mike, and Mike's deteriorating relationship with Bunny. In regards to Milo, in the season 2 finale, the gangster faked his own death in a yacht explosion to gain some sort of upper hand on Mike and should be lurking in the shadows in this new season. With Bunny, he and his one-time friend Mike are truly at odds, which should be an interesting dynamic for them. Miriam also suffered some major injuries, which look to have resulted in her death.
Here is the official synopsis for Mayor of Kingstown season 3:
"In season three, a series of explosions rock Kingstown and its citizens, as a new face of the Russian mob sets up shop in the city, and a drug war rages inside and outside prison walls. The pressure is on Mike McLusky (Renner) to end the war but things get complicated when a familiar face from his incarcerated past threatens to undermine the Mayor's attempts to keep the peace among all factions."
