Mayo fans were left fuming after Jordan Flynn's first-half goal was disallowed because of a little-known rule.
Flynn battled through a number of Dublin footballers and silenced Hill 16 as he rifled the ball into the back of the net late in the first half but saw his effort disallowed by referee David Gough.
The Crossmolina man picked the ball up from the ground with his knees and in a little-known rule it was disallowed.
The GAA rulebook clearly states that the ball can not be lifted off the ground with knees but Mayo fans were still left fuming.
One fan said on social media: "That Jordan Flynn goal should not be disallowed…. #mayogaa"
While another said: "Mayo will be mad when they see that Jordan Flynn goal again. Should have counted."
And another added: "Big bad call on Jordan Flynn."
The Sunday Game panel backed Gough's decision with Tomas O'Se saying: "It was a brave call it would have been an easy one to give."
While Lee Keegan joked: "For me, it was a goal!"
Dublin would score the only goal in the first half with Colm Basquel scoring from play to take a one-point half-time lead.
