Mayim Bialik is no longer splitting Jeopardy! hosting duties with Ken Jennings.
As the actress revealed on Friday, she heard from Sony that she’s out from the “syndicated version of Jeopardy!” and that she was grateful for the opportunity to work on the beloved quiz show.
In a separate statement, the show said that “we hope to continue to work with her on primetime specials,” meaning that maybe we’ll see her for Celebrity Jeopardy! or the like. Their reasoning? They decided to have one host for the syndicated Jeopardy!
Fans of the show had mixed feelings about the move, with some supporting both her and Jennings:

Praise be!! Mayim Bialik is no longer Jeopardy! co-host. Long live Ken Jennings, the one true host pic.twitter.com/LeRq66kjTA

I'm kind of upset they got rid of Mayim Bialik. She was a really good host & actually enjoyed watching Jeopardy again.
That being said, I think Ken Jennings is a perfect choice. Rotating guest hosts every season might be a nice way to keep Jeopardy refreshing.

Sad to hear that my very old friend @missmayim will no longer be a host of @Jeopardy — you did great Mayim! pic.twitter.com/GbhQ6Ku0Dw

Not saying anything against Mayim's hosting, but Ken Jennings has been the secondary face of Jeopardy since he was just a contestant. I could never imagine anyone other than him stepping in after Alec.

All due respect to Mayim, who was fine, but Ken Jennings the right person to be the sole permanent host. W for Jeopardy https://t.co/LN2gIGKrjU
