Maya Jama's rarely seen brother is a model for high fashion brands including Celine

Maya Jama isn't the only famous sibling in the Jama household, as younger brother Omar Jama has become a famous face on the fashion catwalk.

The 25-year-old male model has stepped back from the fashion world lately but previously worked with top brands like Portuguese Soul, Etro Fashion Week and Celine supported by his modelling agency D1LON.

At Christmas last year, Love Island host Maya shared cute family snaps alongside her handsome model brother. In one family photograph, Maya can be seen wearing her MIJ Masks eye mask range alongside brother Omar as they pose for the camera in a family selfie.

In the snap, Omar can be seen posing behind Maya with a matching under eye mask as he pulls a pose for the camera. The 25 year old's hair was styled in tight curls to chin length as he took part in the family selfie.

In the past Maya has revealed she doesn't get to see much of her younger brother Omar as her work schedule keeps her busy.

Her latest gig as host for Love Island has seen her fly off to South Africa as she fronts the winter series as it returns for the first time in three years.

Following the success of Maya's first stint at hosting the reality dating show, Love Island bosses were reported to be hopeful they can sign her for a multi-series deal.

A source told The Sun: "You’d have to be living under a rock to have missed seeing a photo of Maya in that black dress yesterday and it will surely captivate those who previously only had a casual interest.

"One thing’s for sure - there will be a lot of urgent conversations around renewing her contract already under way."

Maya has also opened up about her presenting role, as she discussed being the first non-white Love Island host. The show was previously presented by Caroline Flack until 2019 and Laura Whitmore, who stood down last year.

Speaking to Vogue from Johannesburg, the star said: "Growing up, I never saw an East African woman host a show, and no Black or mixed-race woman hosts such a big primetime TV show, other than June Sarpong.

"This is definitely a big moment for all of us in that sense, and I hope it just opens way more doors for other people from similar backgrounds and cultures as myself."

Fans have been glued to the new series, which began on Monday 15th January. Maya has been a huge hit with viewers, with some even adding that she should be an Islander herself.
