Maya Jama has stolen the nation's heart this January while presenting Love Island and receiving heaps of praise from viewers.
The Bristol-born beauty is the first non-white person to front the hit-series and has so far been smashing the role. From her epic helicopter entrance to her effortless hosting and banter with the islanders, viewers are loving seeing her on our screens.
Backing her all the way is her proud mum Sadie, who was 19 when she gave birth to Jama in our city. Sadie is of Swedish descent, while Maya's father Hussein is of Somali descent, and they named their beautiful daughter after US author and poet Maya Angelou.

Maya's lookalike mum is also no stranger to fame. She appeared alongside her daughter in All Round To Mrs Brown’s Boys.
Maya and her mum are very close
Maya often raves about her mum during interviews. She told the Evening Standard : "She had me at 18, so our relationship was a bit different. I rebelled less because I was quite free. My mum's always been like, 'I want you to have your experiences — just tell me. I'm not going to judge you or shout at you.'"
She also admitted they often get mistaken for sisters, adding: "All my boyfriends and friends that were guys fancied her."
Maya revealed she couldn't tell her mum when she landed her landmark Love Island job because she would get 'too excited and tell people'.
Sadly, her mum isn't on social media so the most fans know about her is when Maya shares posts on her Instagram.
