Maya Jama joins Kim Kardashian as she ‘signs as new face of Dolce & Gabbana’

Maya Jama has been snapped up as the new face of Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana in a deal “worth thousands”, according to reports.

The 28-year-old Love Island host, who is the cover star of this month’s British Vogue, is in high demand with campaigns for Rimmel London and modelling for the likes of designer brand Self-Portrait already under her belt.

Dolce & Gabbana was first founded in 1985 by designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. It already works closely with the likes of Kim Kardashian and is believed to have big plans for Jama.

Earlier this month she rubbed shoulders with A-listers including Kardashian and Dame Helen Mirren at an exclusive Dolce & Gabbana event in Puglia, Italy, for the launch of its latest Alta Moda collection.

She even grabbed a cosy selfie with Dolce, which shows just how highly she is thought of.

A source close to the Bristol-born star told MailOnline: “This is an amazing deal for Maya and it takes her career to the next level.

“It has been in the works for a while, and she is so happy that it is finally done, and she can tell people.

“It’s the start of something really big for her and Dolce & Gabbana.”

The Standard has contacted a representative for Jama for comment.

She took over as Love Island presenter from Laura Whitmore, 38, earlier this year and has previously hosted BBC makeup series Glow Up, ITV’s Walk the Line and the BBC’s Crouchy’s Year-Late Euros: Live.
