Love Island host Maya Jama has revealed that she once turned up to her BBC job wearing a mermaid costume following a memorable night out. The Bristol beauty, who first shot to fame as a DJ for Radio One, confessed to being a pint-swilling cider drinker.
According to the Mirror, Maya wore the costume to a Halloween party the night before and, despite only having half an hour's sleep, still made it into the office for work. She said: "I drink loads of pints. Cider. I’m from Bristol.
She said: “I don’t really get hangovers. Not properly. I get tired.” The star went on to reveal details of the mermaid costume incident which saw some reaction from the 'BBC news people'.
