New host of Love Island Maya Jama shared the red carpet with former host Laura Whitmore as the two successful TV presenters attended the National Television Awards tonight.
Just days after Maya, 28, was announced as the brand-new host of the ITV2 dating show after months of speculation, the Bristol-born babe strutted her stuff on the red carpet as fans could be forgiven for mistaking her for a Hollywood actress.
The brunette beauty oozed class and confidence on the red carpet in a dazzling cream one-shouldered gown which hugged her curves to perfection.
Maya topped off the sultry look with a smokey-eye makeup look and a slicked back hairdo as she allowed her show-stopping frock to all the talking as she posed for snaps at the 2022 NTA awards which were tonight held at the OVO Arena in Wembley, London.
Following her Love Island announcement, marking it as the biggest moment of her career so far, Maya crossed paths with former host of the ITV dating show, Laura Whitmore, who also stormed the red carpet.
Laura, 37, brought some edge to the red carpet as she opted for a chic jumpsuit instead of the traditional ball gown.
The Irish native oozed elegance in the eye-catching jumpsuit which featured satin detailing across the chest.
Proving that she's a true style queen, Laura topped off the glamorous ensemble with some quirky accessories including a glittering clutch bag and a slick of bold red lipstick.
Laura stepped down from Love Island following the latest summer series, after finding 'certain elements of the show very difficult', and earlier this week, Maya was announced as the brand-new host - beating other rumoured contenders to the top including Emily Atack and Maura Higgins.
Back in August, Laura announced her shock departure from the show after three series.
In a candid statement, she penned: "Some news! I won’t be hosting the next series of Love island.
"There are certain elements of the show I’ve found very difficult that cannot be changed some due to the format, including the flying back and forth to South Africa along with my new conflicting projects.
"I wish it was still possible but know you’ll be in safe hands.
"I was only planning to fill in for Caroline for a series and it turned into 3 series. I hope I did you proud Caroline."
ITV added in a statement: "Laura has been a fantastic host across the last three series of the show.
"We are so grateful for everything she has brought to the programme but understand and respect her decision, and we look forward to working with her on upcoming ITV projects."
