Three days of medieval fun for all the family will be taking place at Nottingham Castle at the end of this month - with entry just £1. Medieval Legends will showcase cave tours, a medieval encampment, have-a-go archery. Plus there will be a meet and greet by Robin Hood himself.
The event will be happening over May bank holiday weekend from Saturday 27 May to Monday May 29. Lincolnshire medieval re-enactment society, Knights of Skirbeck, will be providing their unique blend of living history and entertainment.
It follows sell-out events for the Coronation and Eurovision and once again entry will be just £1 per day, giving visitors of all ages, a chance to rediscover the castle grounds before the site’s full reopening in June. The attraction has been closed since last November when the Nottingham Castle Trust went into liquidation less than two years after a £30 million revamp.
