Things are going pretty well for the New York Mets – they’re 5.5 games ahead of the Atlanta Braves in the NL East and look to be a lock to make the postseason.
They also have two of the best pitchers in the game – Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom – back and healthy, which should help them down the stretch.
During yesterday’s 6-0 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies those two star pitchers were seen having what looked like a very deep and animated conversation while passing some time on the bench. deGrom seemed really into whatever it was he was talking about.

What were they talking about? I have no idea. But MLB fans had lots of good guesses.
deGrom just saw TITANIC for the first time and cannot believe Rose didn’t let Jack try again to get on the door. https://t.co/NV9FNT9AEz

deGrom: So I put it on the table and said, "That's *my* pizza." I know Pete thinks he's entitled to every bit of food on the table, but we ordered the app sampler already. Just let me eat this in peace.
