Stacey Giggs is said to be “shocked but not surprised” after seeing pictures of her ex- boyfriend Max George looking very close to his former Strictly Come Dancing co-star Maisie Smith, a source has told OK! Magazine.
The Wanted singer, 33, and ex- EastEnders actress Maisie, 21, were spotted “kissing and cuddling” on a packed flight which was jetting off to Crete.
A fellow passenger on the flight said: “They looked like a very loved-up couple – they were all over each other for the entire four-hour flight. Snogging and giggling like any new couple. My wife said it was a bit over the top at one stage. They were smooching, holding hands and kissing.”
The pair, who appear to be enjoying a mini European getaway, were also spotted “kissing in the pool” at a posh hotel in Majorca earlier this month. Sources say they recently enjoyed a break in Portugal, too. And while there’s no evidence of Max on her Instagram page, Maisie looked on top of the world in the sun-soaked snaps she shared with fans.
Max and Maisie met on Strictly last year, when Max was dating Stacey. According to friends, Max and Stacey split for a second time earlier this month, after briefly parting ways in March. So seeing these pictures would have left Stacey, 41, in a state of shock.
“They have managed to keep it really under wraps,” our source said. “Stacey didn’t know anything about it until she saw the pictures, so it was a shock for her.”
It has come at a difficult time for Stacey, too, as her ex-husband Ryan Giggs, 44, is currently on trial accused of using controlling and coercive behaviour and assaulting his ex-girlfriend Kate Greville.
“Stacey’s not in a good way anyway with everything that is going on with Ryan,” our source continued. “She is shocked but not surprised about Max and Maisie. She always had a feeling there was something between them because she saw their chemistry. It’s a double blow.”
“Maisie is a sweet and funny girl and she has an amazing voice. Max was blown away by her talent, he’s in awe of her. He’s very smitten, they get on so well. This is the real deal, they’re not dating or seeing how it goes, it’s a genuine relationship.”
