Maura Higgins has revealed she has spent three days in bed unable to shower after contracting a mystery illness.
The reality TV star, 31, opened up about her experience with her fans on social media yesterday, as she shared her worry she's lost a stone after days of not eating.
The Love Island alum took to Instagram to provide the updates, with her explaining to her 3.4 million followers on the platform that she has been feeling particularly rough.
Alongside a photo of a bath filled with bubbles, she wrote: "After three full days in bed, I finally have the energy to wash myself." Maura added: "Disgusting, I know."
The model further wrote: "I don't think I have ever been so unwell." She later posted a photo of a bowl of cereal and asked her followers what they eat when they're feeling ill.
Addressing those who don't live with other people, she said: "To those of you who live on your own, what do you eat when you are too ill to cook? I've been living off cereal."
Maura - who was a finalist on the ITV2 dating series in 2019 - later posted a video of herself on social media, in which she further discussed the illness - which wasn't named.

The former islander appeared fresh-faced in the video, with her explaining to her followers: "This is the first time for me to be out of bed in I don't know how long."
Her hair was seen gently blowing, with her adding: "If you're wondering what the noise is, it's a fan because the sweat that's protruding out through my body, I can't even explain."
She shared her suspicion that she will have lost a significant amount of weight due to having been so ill, stating: "If I've not lost a stone from this illness, I'd be shocked."
And in a subsequent post she shared a photo of flowers that had been sent by her mother. She wrote: "My mammy always putting a smile on my face. Love you so much."
The posts come after Maura hit back recently at people who criticise her appearance, including comments that she is "too skinny." She said that they don't get her down.
