Matty Healy has got everyone online talking once again, but this time the social media discussion has nothing to do with his stage antics.
The 1975 frontman often goes viral thanks to things like kissing his fans and bringing Taylor Swift on stage when performing with his band, but this time he's trending due to a TV appearance from the late 1990s.
Thanks to his mum Denise Welch, the It's Not Living singer first graced out TV screens back in 1999, when he walked out with dad Tim Healy to surprise his mum on her episode of This is Your Life.
Denise was surprised by Michael Aspel - with the help of her then husband - outside Manchester's Piccadilly Station after a day trip to London.
Matty, who was around 10 at the time of filming, looked angel-faced and delighted to be on the stage, as he held hands with Phoenix Nights actor Tim before going to give his mum a big hug.
Sharing a clip from the show on TikTok earlier this week, a fan captioned the footage: "Matty Healy fans..... Early footage of Matty Healy."
"HE LOOKS JUST LIKE BOTH OF THEM," one TikTok user noted in the comments.
"He's adorable," another added, as a third quipped: "I didn’t know Denise was married to Leslie!"
One baffled fan asked: "why the hell am I only just realising who his parents are?"
Matty is the eldest child of former couple Denise and Tim, with the two stars also welcoming his brother Louis into the world before announcing their split live on Loose Women in 2012.
Former Coronation Street star Denise went on to tie the knot with her PR manager, Lincoln Townley, but has remained on good terms with Benidorm actor Tim.
Matty played his first ever gig at his dad's event Tim Healy's Charity Golf Classic in 2001.
As a debate about 'nepo babies' kicked off on social media last year, Matty and his parents waded into the discussion and gave their thoughts on nepotism in the entertainment industry.
In September, one Twitter mused"I saw a tiktok recently calling Matty Healy a nepotism baby because his parents are Tim Healy and Denise Welch. like technically yes but also?
"no disrespect to them but how much can Les off Benidorm and a Loose Woman really help you in becoming a generation defining band."
Denise was quick to acknowledge to the observation, replying: "So true."
The following month, Matty told Apple Music's Zane Lowe, "I made a joke that I drew the short straw at the nepotism baby nursery because there's so many famous kids out there.
"The nepotism baby concept is interesting though, isn't it? Because it seems to be something that people talk about when they're a little bit jealous."
