Matty Healy and Taylor Swift 'dating' and ready to go public 10 years after being first linked

Rumours are swirling that Matty Healy and Taylor Swift are dating and ready to 'go public' with their romance when she performs in Nashville this weekend.

The pair of music icons were said to have first dated for a very brief period 10 years ago before things cooled off, but are now said to be "madly in love," according to The Sun. A source close to Taylor told the publication: "She and Matty are madly in love. It’s super-early days, but it feels right. They first dated, very briefly, almost ten years ago but timings just didn’t work out."

Taylor and Matty's rumoured romance comes just a month after her split from actor Joe Alwyn and, after Taylor was a guest at The 1975's gig in London, joining Matty and his bandmates on stage to perform her worldwide hit Anti-Hero. Matty's famous mother, Denise Welch, was at the show, and took great delight in getting a picture with her backstage and causing a frenzy amongst fans when she posted it on Instagram.

The insider added: "Both Matty and Taylor have been touring over the past few weeks, so it’s been a lot of Face-Timing and texting but she cannot wait to see him again."

The source claims that both Taylor and Matty, who has just played Coachella with The 1975, are 'incredibly supportive' of each other's careers, with the Folklore star said to be 'very proud' of their relationship with no intention of keeping it under wraps, fuelling talk that they will be seen together in Nashville in a few days time, with Matty reportedly jetting over to watch his new girlfriend's show in the capital of country music.
