Aston Villa defender Matty Cash has thanked the Nottingham Forest supporters for the 'great reception' he received in last night's 1-1 draw at the City Ground.
Forest ended their run of five straight defeats with a hard-fought draw against Villa to move off the foot of the Premier League table. Emmanuel Dennis' first goal for the Reds was quickly cancelled out by Ashley Young in the first-half.
Cash returned to Steven Gerrard's squad after missing the Southampton and Leeds United fixtures through injury, playing the whole 90 minutes at right-back.

The game handed the Poland international the chance to reunite with a few old faces at the City Ground after leaving the Reds in 2020, signing for Villa in a £14 million deal. The 25-year-old made 141 appearances for Forest after joining from the FAB academy in 2014.
He posted this message on his Twitter page: "Happy to be back out there. Not the result we wanted.
"Thank you so much for the great reception at the City Ground. Was brilliant to be back."
