Matthew Wright confessed he was mortified on This Morning on Tuesday, after not realising he was caught out on air.
The TV star was back on the show with Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes, but was speaking live from his home on camera.
Joining them was fellow guest Camilla Tominey, as the four of them sat down to discuss the biggest news stories of the day on the ITV show.
But barely minutes into the start of the segment a man could be heard shouting out, saying: "Upstairs please."
Camilla was discussing the news topics when she thought she heard someone backstage calling out loudly, but carried on with what she was saying.
Phillip and Rochelle were suddenly heard laughing, while it wasn't apparent to viewers what was going on.
A moment later Phillip made light of the situation, making it clear what had happened as he dropped Matthew in it.
Matthew was seen smirking, as Phil revealed it was him they heard talking in the background and he was shouting at his family.
Phillip said: "We've got Matthew there who has finished shouting at his family now to keep quiet."
Rochelle began laughing again, as Matthew moaned before placing his hands on his head in embarrassment.
She said: "Yeah we caught you," as Phillip added: "He was shouting at someone."
Matthew then joked he was "much more of a shouty, shouty parent" as he shared his disbelief he had been rumbled.
As the hosts laughed again, Phillip told him: "We did hear that," with Rochelle saying: "We got that."
He again placed his head in his hands and laughed, before later adding he was "so embarrassed" about the situation.
Matthew joked: "Bless you, I'll go back to shouting at the child. I'm so embarrassed!"
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
