When you fire up “Madden NFL 23” after it releases next month, you’ll find nine quarterbacks with higher ratings than Matthew Stafford. That might seem like a slight toward the Super Bowl-winning quarterback, but there are a ton of great signal-callers in the NFL right now.
EA Sports announced that Stafford has an 85 overall rating in the game, lifted by his 95 Throw Power rating. His overall rating ranks 10th among all quarterbacks.
Here’s the complete top 10, led by Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes.

Rams fans will probably have a gripe about Joe Burrow being a 90 overall, five higher than Stafford. They won’t be thrilled about Dak Prescott, Justin Herbert and Russell Wilson all being rated higher than Stafford, too.
But let’s all try to keep a level head and remember that it’s just a game. In reality, Stafford has as many rings as Josh Allen, Burrow, Prescott, Herbert, Wilson and Lamar Jackson combined.
