Matthew McConaughey has denied claims by a doctor who said he had given the star a hair transplant.
The Hollywood actor, 52, continues to say that his significant hair regrowth was caused from a special serum that he still uses today.
However, that claim is something a doctor disputes, saying he provided the star with his new hairdo thanks to a hair transplant.
In his latest memoir titled Greenlights, Matthew admits he began shaving his head in the late-1990s as his hair-thinning was becoming extremely noticeable.
Speaking to LADbible though, the star said: "How did it grow back? That’s a great mystery."
He claimed he he rubbed a "topical ointment" into his scalp once a day in a bid to help the regrowth.
He continued: "I was fully committed, I was fully committed to it — no Propecia, no nothing, it was just manual labour.
"All I can tell you is it came back. I have more hair now than I had in 1999."
As his locks grew back, there was much debate whether he had paid a premium to get them looking so thick again.
The actor opened up on being told how a doctor was using his before and after pics to convince people his hair transplant offer was legit.
But when another doctor asked the star about the procedure, Matthew said he let the doc "feel and see".
He continued: "Can I just look at your hair? Can I just feel it and see. I said ‘Yeah, man,’ he goes, ‘You don’t have transplants.’ I said, ‘That’s what I said, of course I don’t.'”
The touchy-feely doctor then confessed he "couldn't wait" to contact his fellow medic and call him out on his "lies".
And when asked whether he had any plans to stop using his special serum, Matthew said: "I’m not gonna quit to see if, like, ‘Oh, do I need to do it anymore?’ I’m not taking that chance."
The actor recently revealed he was open to a return to the Magic Mike franchise after missing the second instalment of the movies.
He told Channing Tatum to give him a call so the pair could reunite on the big screen.
When asked if he'll be involved, he confessed to Variety: "I don't know. I’d have to read [the script] first. It was a helluva lot of fun doing the first one."
