Matthew Judon is giving the media a run for its money with the recent onslaught of “breaking news” regarding the New England Patriots.
It was like free agency week come early on Friday with the Pro Bowl linebacker jokingly announcing two big acquisitions by the Patriots. Some took it as fact and ran with it (hopefully, not many), while others took it for what it really was: Judon being his hilarious self.
The first announcement was that some kind of deal had been struck for the Patriots to land Arizona Cardinals star wideout DeAndre Hopkins. At one point, following that announcement, Hopkins’ Wikipedia page was even changed to the Patriots being listed as his current team.
Breaking news @DeAndreHopkins to the patriots 🤩🤩

WR DeAndre Hopkins Wikipedia page looks like it's in the process of being edited…

But then the fun went to a whole other level when Judon also announced Los Angeles Rams No. 1 cornerback Jalen Ramsey was Foxborough-bound. It started off with a fan saying the Patriots needed to get Ramsey.
Crazy because me n Jay you know that’s what I call em. Just gone done talking he packing his bags already.

This is obviously all in good fun, but both Hopkins and Ramsey could be legitimate targets for the Patriots.
The team has serious needs at both receiver and cornerback, and either one of those two players would be huge additions to the roster. Let’s keep our fingers crossed the trolling manifests into reality for New England.
