When picturing a classic Texan porch, one feature is always likely to come to mind: The porch swing. Such swings have long been associated with a slower pace of living, offering a simple way to connect with the landscape beyond the home's walls. However, at Matthew and Camila McConaughey’s Lake Austin estate, traditional outdoor swings have never felt more stylish.
Matthew and Camila's suspended rope daybed (much like this one from Wayfair) is a perfect example of how to design a front porch with the same intention as an indoor living room.
