Matt Targett has spoken about his relationship with Allan Saint-Maximin at Newcastle United.
The duo have been pitched in together down the left by Eddie Howe and could be the men that drive United down that particular flank until the end of the current campaign. Targett has hinted that he'd like that partnership to continue in the 2022/23 season.
With Targett on loan and Saint-Maximin linked with a summer move, fans would love that to be the case. It is probably a little bit early to draw comparisons between John Beresford and David Ginola's combination during the Entertainers era.

Targett said: "You have to change the way you play when you have somebody like Maxi in front of you. It's all about getting the right balance for the team. Each game is different with Maxi or whoever is in front of me. "I am really enjoying my time here."
And ahead of the trip to Norwich on Saturday afternoon, where a win could take Newcastle into the top 10, Targett is hoping to build on the duo's understanding against Palace.
Targett went on: "I thought the first half against Palace there was a better understanding than in previous games I'd say. "He's very unpredictable. I haven't played with any players like that. I am still learning and we are still building a relationship. It's getting better each game I'd say."
The former Southampton star was again asked about his future - for the second time this week - and reflected: "Yeah, it's been great fun. I have really enjoyed my time here.
"The boys, the fans and the staff have welcomed me. I can only speak highly about the club. I am enjoying my time here and we'll see what happens. I hope something gets sorted."
