Leeds Rhinos prop Matt Prior has been banned for two games after being sent off during Saturday's win in Catalans Dragons. The rugged Aussie was dismissed early in the second half for a high tackle, having been sinbinned earlier in the game.
The Grade B charge means he will now miss the games against Salford Red Devils at Headingley on Sunday and the trip to Hull Kingston Rovers seven days later. Despite losing Prior to a red card early in the second half, the Rhinos took the game to golden point extra-time and won it through Sezer’s try.
Meanwhile, Huddersfield Giants scrum-half Olly Russell has been suspended for one game following a Grade B (Tripping) charge during Saturday’s win over Warrington Wolves. He will subsequently miss Friday’s home clash with Hull FC.
