Matt O'Riley is looking forward to a lie-in on the day of the Scottish Cup final - and reckons Inverness fans will make the most of the "brutal" reality.
The Scottish FA moved the Hampden showpiece from its traditional 3pm kick-off time to the later slot of 5.30pm to avoid it clashing with the English FA Cup final on the same day. It means Inverness fans wanting to travel home on the day of the game will be virtually unable to use public transport with final trains and buses north leaving before 8pm.
Many fans have hit out at the inconvenient kick-off time while both clubs themselves released statements voicing their "disappointment" with the decision, feeling the final should go ahead at 3pm regardless of the TV clash. O'Riley, though, admits he's not fussed as Ange Postecoglou's team go chasing a Treble at the national stadium on June 3.
When asked for his reaction, he said: "I've no real reaction to that one. I guess because it's a bit later we get to sleep a bit more so that's one positive."
The inconvenience for fans travelling south was then pointed out to him as he responded: "I didn't really think about that to be honest. I'm sure that's quite brutal, but they can make make the most of a night out in Glasgow if they choose to. It's another game at a different time of day, but if you win it you still win a trophy. So that's the main thing."
