MATT O'RILEY reckons if Celtic had created the chances they did against Shakhtar Donetsk on the domestic front then they'd have converted.
The Hoops had various chances throughout the tie, as has been the case throughout their Champions League campaign.
Through a mixture of good goalkeeping and poor finishing, the score was kept at 1-1 in Glasgow's east end.
O'Riley had one particular opportunity towards the dying moments of the encounter, with his shot going narrowly wide of the post.
It proved to be a case of rueing the missed chances, which O'Riley put down to a hint of anxiety.
The Denmark U21 international said: "It was a disappointing night and a disappointing Champions League campaign, especially considering the football we played.
"I'm gutted for our fans because they turn up every single game and make crazy amounts of noise and support. We'll try to be back next year with a bit more ruthlessness in front of goal.
"It's definitely hard to take. I had one at the end there and I think big Jacko (Giakoumakis) hits the post.
"To be honest, if that's in the Scottish league I reckon we score them. Maybe it's just a bit of anxiety, I'm not sure.
"There's lots still to learn. We've just got to go back to the training ground and be ruthless with all of our little details. Our finishing and passing has got to be crisp because when we transition into this level it just needs to be a little bit sharper."
Asked about the mental impacts of missing so many chances, O'Riley added: "We can't look into it too much when we're in the moment. You've just got to keep going.
"I think we did that to be honest. We kept creating chances right until the very end. They just didn't go in today. Really frustrating night.
"It's down to your mindset really. We saw with Mudryk, he got one chance and he takes it.
"We had more chances in this game. They obviously had one massive chance, which they missed, however, I think we had plenty to punish them with.
"On the pitch, personally I didn't really feel nervous or anxious. With that last shot I've just got to hit it a bit cleaner and it goes in. It's fine margins. It's just been the story of our campaign."
