Matt Lucas and David Walliams become Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus as they finally reunite

Matt Lucas and David Walliams have become Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus as they work together for the first time in years.

Fans on the Little Britain co-stars have been clamouring for the duo to reunite, and their wish has finally come true, as David shared a picture on social media to reveal they were finally back together.

“Meet Miley & Billy Ray Cyrus in a brand new episode of ROCK PROFILE for @comicrelief Friday 18th of March BBC One @realmattlucas @mileycyrus @billyraycyrus,” the children’s author wrote.

The photo showed David wearing a mullet wig and a red cowboy shirt, while holding a guitar and beaming at the camera.

Great British Bake Off host Matt looked almost unrecognisable as he rocked a high ponytail, and a risqué silver get up that covered his chest.

“I was just about to write that,” one wrote.

Matt and David co-starred - and wrote - in the hit comedy show Little Britain (BBC)

Rock Profile was one of the first TV projects Matt and David worked on, and the show aired on UK Play in 1999, before moving to BBC Two in 2002.

The cult comedy series involved the funnymen impersonating different musicians - including Howard Donald and Gary Barlow - as they were interviewed by Jamie Theakston.

Red Nose Day will air on BBC One on Friday 18 March.
