Matt Hancock voted for fourth I'm A Celeb trial - but stars squeal over new twist

I'm A Celebrity 2022's Matt Hancock has been voted to do his fourth trial since his arrival this week, this time with Hollyoaks star Owen Warner.

The disgraced Tory MP saw it coming, as hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly announced his name at the end of the show on Friday.

But there was a new twist too, as the hosts confirmed it wouldn't be just the two contestants making their way to the trial area.

As Ant and Dec shocked Owen with the reveal he had been picked, everyone laughed at Hancock being chosen again as it was predictable.

What they were not predicting though was that in a new twist, all of them were allowed to go down to the area to watch it unfold.

As the hosts revealed they'd be seeing them all there for them to watch the trial, they all squealed with excitement.

It seems viewers were expecting Hancock too, but not everyone was thrilled about it.

As the news came in, viewers took to Twitter to share their annoyance over him getting yet more screen time - also wanting to see others take on the trials.

One viewer said: "WHY MATT AGAIN STOP MAKING IT BORING," as a second said: "Matt again i want to see others do trials."

Another wrote: "Matt doing a trial again. I'm getting bored," as a fourth tweeted: "Matt again, oh my god I’ve had enough now!"

It follows the drama earlier this week surrounding Hancock’s arrival on the ITV show, which led to predictions of a mass walkout by fans.

On Wednesday, Boy George confessed he was considering leaving the jungle, with one campmate doing her best to stop him.

Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, he became emotional as he said: "I don't really know what to do with my feelings. You know, today was obviously quite emotional for me.

"I don't know what it's going to be like, I actually don't really know if I want to be here."

Sue Cleaver soon encouraged him to stay, while she too shared her view on the matter - clearly not keen on Hancock.

She said: "Just sleep on it tonight. Look, why he came in and what he's doing here, it's not our responsibility and it's not for us to take on."

Sue later said in the Bush Telegraph: "George was having a bit of a moment. I think if I'm honest that most of us are sort of feeling it's a bit of a very strange situation to be in."

Viewers predicted several cast members could end up leaving the series following ITV signing up the disgraced Tory MP.

Taking to Twitter, they guessed drama and tension was on the cards for sure - but many also wondered if a mass walkout could happen.

One viewer said: "I got a funny feeling [Hancock] is gonna to have walk, before they have a mass walkout."

Another tweeted: "George is going to quit. I’m calling it now!"

A third viewer added: "I think many will walk out," as a fourth wrote: "I reckon Boy George will walk out."

However, others guessed this would not happen as the celebrities would lose out on their pay for the series.

I'm A Celebrity airs every night at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
